Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London, the United Kingdom. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 following her been signed by Warner Bros Records. The album climbed up to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released including Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at the number 6 spot within the United States. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on 22 August 1995. She has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan band Oda. At home, her father would play his original compositions along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of five. When she was nine, she learned how to sing. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Goin' to You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The year 2014 was the year that Lipa has signed a deal in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. New Love, Lipa's debut single, was released in August 2015.
