Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on 22 August 1995. She has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who also serves as the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan band Oda. At home, her father would play his original compositions along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of five.
