Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is a popular American country and bluegrass singer. She began to work in the business of music from a young age. at the age of 10 she was a winner in local competitions and made her first album. When she was 14, she enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 released her debut solo album. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings with. Her first album as a collective with this band was released in 1989.
